All three former Sugababes have become embroiled in a dispute over the band's name - they have reunited to fight for the right to use the title.

The band's original line-up included Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan, but the group was marred by changes over the years and now contains none of the founding members.

Donaghy was the first to leave in 2001. She was replaced by Heidi Range, followed by Buena in 2005 - whose place was taken by Amelle Berrabah.

Buchanan was removed from the group last year (09) following tensions withher bandmates and Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen subsequently stepped in.

Buena lodged an initial application to the European Trademarks Authority for the right to use the Sugababes name back in November (09), just twomonths after Buchanan was booted out of the band.

News broke about Buena's legal battle this week (beg01Mar10) and it hasnow emerged the singer's application to trademark the name was re-submitted on Wednesday (03Mar10) with Buchanan and Donaghy's names attached, according to documents obtained by HolyMoly.com.

The three former members were recently rumoured to be reforming to takeon the current line-up in the charts, but they denied reports of a reunion.

Range has spoken out to dismiss the legal dispute, insisting the Sugababes name is owned by the band's record label, but the website reports that bosses at Island failed to trademark the title, paving the way for the former members to win the right to use the name on CDs, sound recordings and other products throughout Europe.
