Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has sparked fears she's crumbling under the pressures of fame after she broke down in tears following a performance in New York.
Scores of fans turned up to see Boyle, who took the world by storm after appearing on U.K. reality show Britain's Got Talent, at the RockefellerPlaza on Monday (23Nov09) - the same day her debut album I Dreamed A Dream was released and charged to the top of the charts.
But the star raised concerns for her emotional state after she was photographed sobbing in a nearby restaurant following the show.
Susan managed to pull herself together very quickly, though, and shake herself out of her tearful mood
A source tells Britain's the Daily Star newspaper, "It was clear she isstill very fragile and struggling to cope with the fame. She's treated like an international superstar in the Unites States. Susan managed to pull herself together very quickly, though, and shake herself out of her tearful mood. You can only hope, for her sake, that she can get through the next few days and weeks when she will be the focus of so much attention".
Fears for Boyle's health mounted after she checked into London's PrioryHospital to seek treatment for exhaustion and insomnia in May (09) - just days after finishing in second place on the TV talent show's intense finale.
