Idol Stars To Provide Relief At White House Middle East Talks.... American Idol star Taylor Hicks is set to meet President George W Bush after he and his fellow former contestants were invited to join the US leader and his wife Laura at the White House during a tour stop in Washington DC.Hicks and the other Idols are currently touring America on the Idols live tour and Bush felt sure their trip to the White House would provide a welcome break for himself and visiting British Prime Minister Tony Blair as they tackle the crisis in the Middle East.The Idol finalists will be given a tour of the president and First Lady's official home before meeting Bush for a photo opportunity on Friday (28Jul06).The visit will be extra special for Alabama singer Hicks - his former English teacher, Susan Whitson, is now Laura Bush's press secretary.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
