Music bosses have assured anxious Beatles fans in the U.S. they will havea second chance to own a limited copy of The Beatles In Mono - after the highly-anticipated disc set sold out online.
Only 10,000 copies of the 13-CD boxed set were allotted for the U.S. market and fans were left scrambling when the discs sold out at most U.S. web retailers - before the store release date of 9 September (09).
While the mono box set will still remain a limited production item, it will no longer be limited to 10,000 copies for the U.S.
However, EMI bosses have confirmed production has been extended and retailers will receive additional copies.
A spokesperson from web retailer Amazon.com adds "The manufacturer has informed us that they will be producing additional mono box sets due to high demand. While the mono box set will still remain a limited production item, it will no longer be limited to 10,000 copies for the U.S. market, as originally reported".
The set sells for $299 (£199).
