The Edge And Estefan Set For Doctorates.... U2 guitarist The Edge and Latina singer Gloria Estefan will receive honorary doctorates next month (May07).The rocker, real name David Howell Evans, will be commended for his contribution to music by the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.Estefan will be honoured alongside her musician husband Emilio and jazz pianist Andrew Hill.Berklee spokesman Allen Bush says the musicians were chosen for honorary doctorates based on achievements in music and contributions to American and international culture.Other stars who have received honorary doctorate in the past include David Bowie and Aretha Franklin.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
