The Police's quit vow

The Police won't perform together again following their current tour.The Sting-fronted British group reunited for a world tour late last year but drummer Stuart Copeland insists there will be no more shows once the run of concerts ends next month.He said the tour was "always planned as a very finite thing," adding to America's Billboard: "In the back of our minds there was the possible, 'Who knows? Maybe if some new material comes up or something like that, you never know...' But the mission has always been finite." The Police's last concert, is due to take place at Madison Square Garden on August 7, and will be followed by the release of a special DVD documenting the band's reunion and includes live footage from two concerts in Argentina last December.
