Pop group The Ting Tings were once a such a disastrous live act, they were forced to ask the audience how to play their instruments.The British duo is now making a name for themselves after lending their track Shut Up And Let Me Go to a worldwide iPod campaign for Apple computers.But drummer Jules De Martino insists they were not always so successful.He says, "We did our first proper gig at the Birmingham Barfly (in England).It was where Katie (White, singer) picked up the guitar for the first time - but she couldn't get a sound out."She had to ask the audience what to do and they shouted back: 'Turn the amp on!'"
