The Who are Superbowl favourites for 2010

It may still be a year away, but rock and roll favourites The Who look set to perform at next year's Super Bowl if the results of a new online poll are anything to go by.

Following Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's slot at the big game on 1 February, speculation about next year's half-time headliners began.

Springsteen himself suggested Coldplay, but Rolling Stone magazine readers have selected The Who in a new survey.

Coldplay didn't even make the publication's top 10, which was as follows;

2. Pearl Jam

3. Guns n' Roses

4. Van Halen

5. Dave Matthews Band

6. Foo Fighters

7. Red Hot Chili Peppers

8. AC/DC

9. Neil Young

10. Led Zeppelin
