T.I. Keeping Prison News From Young Kids

Prison-bound rapper T.I. has been shielding his young children from the harsh reality of his legal troubles - because he doesn't want them to be sad as he prepares for jail.
The Whatever You Like hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., struck a plea deal with prosecutors over charges relating to his 2007 arrest forweapons possession.
T.I. is facing a minimum of one year behind bars and is due in court for sentencing on 27 March (09) - but he admits even he is unsure whether he will be heading to prison on that date.

He says, "There's a date set where I go for sentencing, but I'm not sure if that's the exact day I start my sentence".
And the hip-hop star has been keeping the worst of the news a secret from his brood of kids - although he concedes his eldest children are probably learning of his latest news from the internet and watching TV.
He explains, "We had an initial conversation when the situation first came by. But I don't wanna continue to bring it up and bring it up until it's absolutely tied (confirmed), just so they don't have this negative grey cloud (hanging over them).
"Kids are extremely smart nowadays, they can probably tell me some things that I wouldn't know".
T.I. has five offspring - three kids, named Domani, Messiah and Deyjah,from previous relationships, and sons King and Major with longterm girlfriend and former Xscape singer Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle; their third child together, a daughter named Llayah Amour, was stillborn.
