Dave McCabe's friends are so sick of him immortalising them in song, they no longer tell him secrets.The Zutons lead singer admits writing lyrics based on his friends' lives, but some of his pals are bored of their inner-most secrets being broadcast to the world.Dave said: "People won't tell me things anymore. Me mate always says to people: 'Don't start p***ing Dave off 'cos he'll start writing about you." The singer said his most famous song, 'Valerie' - covered last year by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson - has been widely misinterpreted.He said: "'Valerie' is definitely not a love song, even though everyone thinks it is. It's about our mate Valerie getting done for drink driving."McCabe revealed his friend was not too keen on her brush with the law being revealed to the world.He said: "She was a bit freaked out by it when we played her it. 'Cos she's got ginger hair too. It's obviously her, it's very literal."
