Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has sneaked into the ongoing United NationsClimate Change Conference in Denmark by pretending to be a member of thepress.
The British singer, who is a keen environmentalist, was desperate to attend the talks in Copenhagen, a meeting of world leaders to address the issues of climate change and global warming.
And Yorke managed to get into the conference with a press pass to watchthe talks with the rest of the global media.
He tells Gist TV, "I'm here as a press person. Do you imagine they'd let me in otherwise? See how long it lasts before I get kicked out. "I wanted to see what was going on, and it's very important to me.
I came last minute to be honest like most people thought nothing would happenand was ready to give up on it.
"I think negotiations like this are a big thick cloud. No normal personcan see through it. That, to me, makes me angry because the basic principles are the basic principles. There's a lot of uptight, middle-aged men doing the negotiations".
Yorke recently criticised the British government for its decision to build 10 new nuclear power stations in the country, and last year (08) he spearheaded the Friends of the Earth Big Ask campaign, calling for a new law in the U.K. to help cut emissions by 80 per cent by 2050.
