Toni Braxton cancels event due to family sickness

Toni Braxton has pulled the plug on a major media event to promote her family's reality show to be with her sister as her husband recovers from a blood clot in his lungs.

The singer's brother-in-law, Vince Herbert, was taken to hospital on Sunday and the famiy opted to be with him.

That means a Braxton Family Values party, scheduled for Thursday was scrapped.

Herbert is expected to make a full recovery and the press will be rescheduled, according to TMZ.com.
