Katy Perry Turns Celibate... Newly single singer Katy Perry has vowed to remain celibate in 2009, following her split from rocker boyfriend Travis Mccoy.

I've actually taken a vow of celibacy this year - no kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry.

The pair ended its year-long romance over the New Year, and the I Kissed a Girl hitmaker has no plans to find new love.

When asked who she would be kissing at the forthcoming Grammy Awards, where she is nominated for a prize, the 24-year-old replied, "I've actually taken a vow of celibacy this year - no kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry.".
