Villiage People

Villiage People

The founding member of The Villiage People has filed a lawsuit against the revamped band - which coincidently, doesn’t include him in the line-up.

The original line up included Victor Willis, who played the party of the dashing police officer before he quit in 1983. However, Victor is alleging that the new reformed group is still using his voice and picture to promote the group.

So he’s done what any other failed popstar does, and sued his former band mates for at least $1 million (£675,000) in damages and a judge's order to prevent the band using his likeness or recordings.

He is suing the band's promoter Sixuvus Ltd along with the William Morris Agency, Can't Stop Productions and a number of venues where the group has performed.
