Primal Scream left with two awards under their belts!

The Vodafone Live Music Awards rolled up to the Carling Academy in Brixton last night and left some musicians very happy indeed!Primal Scream were the big winners after strolling home with two top gongs under their arms as they won both the Outstanding Contribution To Live Music prize as well as the hotly fought over Best Live Act trophy.Other winners included the superstar DJ and producer Mark Ronson who bagged the title of king of live music as he accepted the award for Best Live Male whilst Kate Nash became his Queen (almost) as she was presented with the gong for Best Female. The most promising thing to come out of Manchester since Oasis; The Ting Tings continued their fantastic year by bagging the Xfm Live Breakthrough award - we definitely won't be forgetting their name any time soon!Elsewhere, US rock outfit the Kings of Leon beat off stiff competition to win Best International Live Act and, after a year which has seen so many bands reunite, The Spice Girls proved that they've still got it as they returned to the awards podium to blag themselves the award for Best Live Return. The evening couldn't have gone any better thanks to T4's Steve Jones who hosted the knees up alongside Hollywood actress and rock and roll star Juliette Lewis; however, it didn't end with the awards as acts as diverse as Primal Scream, Glasvegas, James Morrison, Pussycat Dolls, Bryn Christopher, Will Young, Estelle, The Automatic and The Ting Tings all played to a packed venue of fellow nominees, music industry experts and fans. The full list of Vodafone Live Music Awards winners and nominees: Live Male: Mark Ronson, Dizee Rascal, Morrissey, Paul Weller
