A warrant for gospel singer and pastor Marvin Winans was issued a day before he was targeted in a brutal car jacking.
Winans, who led the funeral service for Whitney Houston in February (12), was attacked by a gang of men at a gas station in Detroit, Michigan on(16May12), suffering minor cuts and bruises.
But now it has emerged his driving license was suspended after he failed to settle two traffic tickets in December (11), and he had missed a court date the day before his encounter with thugs.
An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest on 15 March.
A representative for Winans says, "The issue is being addressed".
