Balfour Pleads Not Guilty to Hudson Triple Murder

William Balfour has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew.

Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister Julia, entered his plea during a court hearing in Chicago on Tuesday (20Jan09).

According to reports Balfour, 27, nodded to his family as he entered the Cook County Criminal Court.

He is charged with first degree murder and home invasion, following the triple killings of Darnell Donerson, Jason Hudson and seven-year-old Julian King last October (08).

Balfour is being held without bail and is next scheduled to appear in court on 27 January (09).
