Willie Nelson has paid tribute to his friend Glen Campbell in a new Rolling Stone article, revealing the Wichita Lineman singer helped his stay solvent at the start of his career.
The publication's Patrick Doyle asked a host of stars for their thoughts about Campbell who announced he is suffering from Alzheimer's Disease in June, for his article and Nelson revealed all about the singer's generosity.
He explained: "He's always been a big help to me. During one of my down years, he signed me to his publishing company and paid me a lot of money.
"I only wrote one song, and it was Bloody Mary Morning. I hope he got his money back."
