Geto Boys Rapper Arrested for Fraud

Rapper Willie D has been arrested and charged with wire fraud after allegedly running a scam selling Apple iPhones.

The Geto Boys group member, real name William James Dennis, was taken into custody at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas on Wednesday evening (13:May:09) after returning from an overseas trip.

According to local reports, Dennis placed listings for iPhones and other electronic gadgets on auction website eBay.com through his company Texas One Wireless.

He would then reportedly conduct business with international buyers viaemail and request payment be electronically transferred into his bank account.

Once the money was received, the star is said to have sent the customers tracking numbers for packages that were never actually shipped before cutting off all communication with them.

The scheme is thought to have started in September (08).

If convicted, Dennis faces up to 20 years in a federal prison and a $250,000 (£166,665) fine.
