Ruth Lorenzo was the eighth contestant to be voted out of ITV's The X Factor on a night all the shows finalists outshone their special guest..
This week it was the public vote alone that decided the fate of the contestants and after receiving the least amount of public votes, she bowed out with Bon Jovi's Always.

Earlier, all of the remaining contestants sang a track from Britney's back catalogue, Spears was a special guest on the show.
Ruth said: "I fought with all my heart, with everything I had. And this doesn't end here.
"This is the beginning of my dream, adding "All I can say is thank you so much. I never ever dreamed of this ever."
Her mentor, Dannii Minogue paid tribute to Ruth, saying she had "an incredible vocal". "She was the most beautiful person to work with. She's going to be a friend forever," she said.
Earlier judge, Simon Cowell praised the 26-year-old for her "determination and effort".
Meanwhile Spears is on a whistle-stop tour of Europe ahead of the release of her latest album, Circus, on Monday, sang her current hit Womanizer, in her first UK television performance in four years, on the show.
Wearing an all black outfit, with hotpants, fishnet tights and knee-high boots looking like a young Madonna she mimed a performance and after it was given a standing ovation by the judges and the studio audience.
Afterwards she said: "I love being here in London, it's awesome." telling the remaining contestants, including Diana Vickers and boyband JLS, "Good luck and just keep doing it."
To demonstrate the quality of this years contestants they arguably all produced better live performances of Spears hits than the star herself, who resorted to miming
Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus also guested and performed her latest single, 7 Things.
