Billboard first reported the news, teasing fans with the anticipated release date after her former 2014 release was scrapped.

Though she's no longer 25 years old, the record is still believed to be called '25' and has seen collaborations with Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr. and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder.

Earlier this year, Ed Sheeran opened up about the anticipation building around the record, and admitted he'd only heard good things from his peers.

Speaking on Capital FM, he said: "I haven't heard [Adele's album], but everyone I know who've worked on it is just like, 'Dude, that record!' Apparently, it's really good."

Adele took a break from the spotlight after giving birth to her first son Angelo in October 2012, and since then she hasn't released any new material other than the James Bond theme tune for 2012 movie 'Skyfall'.
