Music legend Anastacia is to return to the business with a brand new album - her first in five years.

The record - titled 'Resurrection' - will become her sixth studio album and has seen her reunited with producers Sam and Louis for lead single 'Stupid Little Things'.

"Writing songs helps pull you past the dark moments" said the singer, who has faced many battles with her health, all of which have been well documented in the emdia.

"Just being able to speak my story is a great help. 'Stupid Little Things' is about trying not to over think everything to make it much bigger than it is. For me it's about: don't focus on the small stuff!"

She's now fit, healthy and enjoyed her time in the studio in LA, recording ten new tracks for the standard edition of the LP and fourteen for the deluxe.

'Resurrection' is released May 5, and the music video for pop anthem 'Stupid Little Things' is expected at some point next week.
