Arctic Monkeys aren't in a hurry to write a new album.

The 'R U Mine' rockers are still enjoying promoting last year's LP 'AM' and are not ready to move onto something new just yet.

Frontman Alex Turner said: "I've written a few things but I'm not in a hurry.

"We're going to keep going [with touring] until the summer and beyond that a little bit, maybe. I don't know.

"I wouldn't think it'll be too soon that e do the next one.

Arctic Monkeys insist they are in no hurry to start working on the follow-up album to 'AM'.

"It's been going really well in America and there's still a lot of s**t to do on this album. I don't feel, for once, that we need to rush and get on to the next thing. It seems like a good place to leave it for a minute."

The group will return to the UK this summer for a string of festival dates, headlining T in the Park and Reading & Leeds, and love playing the outdoor shows as they have such fond memories of past gigs at the sites.

Drummer Matt Helders told NME magazine: "It's almost how we started off. Some of my biggest memories are of the first time we did Leeds and Reading, and then obviously doing Glastonbury. Things like T in the Park have always been milestones, so it's good to be able to still do them."
