The Queen guitarist has praised the 'For Your Entertainment' hitmaker for being an "extraordinary figurehead" when they tour as Queen and Adam Lambert.

Brian said: "I feel so privileged that we can still do this. We spend half our lives building this legacy of songs and contact with an audience, and we can still be out there and doing it. And it's wonderful that we have Adam. You need an extraordinary figurehead, and we do have it in Adam. So it's a gift from God. I call him a gift from God."

Speaking in a video to promote the European leg of their tour, drummer Roger Taylor added: "To be able to put on a big spectacular show ... we need a great singer to put over those songs and this guy is a great singer."

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old singer previously revealed performing with Queen has given him "a great confidence".

He said: "[It has given me] a great confidence. Public reaction to the group's concerts [have been] wonderful and the tour gave me the opportunity to make myself known to more people.

"I would not speak of different emotions [in a group rather than solo] but of different ways to approach the show. With the Queen I have to be really exaggerated, bordering on the ridiculous, even the costumes, because it is the music that requires it, I have to be drawn into the role.

"In my tour instead [I] explore the current fashion and dance and I can express my creativity. I have taken care of every single aspect of the show."
