Ciara Sends Condolences to Ex Stoudemire

Ciara has sent her condolences to her ex-boyfriend, basketball star Amar'e Stoudmire, after his brother was killed in a car accident in Florida.

Officials at the Florida Highway Patrol claim Hazell Stoudemire, 35, was driving at high speed in Lake Wales early on Monday (06Feb12) when his vehicle crashed into the back of a tractor trailer.

He died on the scene.

The Goodies hitmaker, who briefly dated the New York Knicks forward last year (11), has since reached out to the Stoudemire family to express her sorrow at the sad news.

In a Twitter.com post, Ciara writes, "So sad to hear the news about Hazel (sic). That guy was an awesome person with so much personality. May heRIP (rest in peace), my prayers go out to his family".

Rap mogul Russell Simmons has also tweeted about the tragedy, writing, "my thoughts and prayers go out to Amare (sic) Stoudemire and his family".
