The rappers have collaborated on 'What A Time To Be Alive' with Drake revealing it was originally only supposed to be a few songs which ended up becoming a brand new record.

Speaking on his OVO Sound Radio show on Apple's Beats 1, Drake explained: "It's a little soundtrack for the people who need it right now.

"I went to Atlanta for six days a couple weeks ago with the hopes of doing some songs with Future, and when you get around Future, it's like a vortex, that guy can outwork anybody right now. It's tough to see someone do four, five songs in one night and not try to match it."

The surprise album is currently available as an Apple Music exclusive for one week.

And it's not the first time the pair have worked together.

They collaborated on Future's 'Tony Montana', 'Never Satisfied' and 'Where Ya At?'.

The rappers also both appeared on Lil Wayne's 'Love Me' and DJ Drama's 'We in This Bitch 1.5'.
