Florence Welch takes a packed lunch into the recording studio and feels she's been in a "cave" whilst working on new material.

The 27-year-old singer, who is recording the follow-up to her hugely successful second album 'Ceremonials', which was released in 2011, insists she has given up on the showbiz lifestyle and ordering in meals in favour of making her own lunch to take to work.

She told The Sun newspaper: "I feel like I've been in a cave or something. Well, a studio cave. My day consists of an anorak, a bicycle, and I make a packed lunch."

The 'Shake It Out' hitmaker can't wait for her fans to hear her new music but admits she does feel the pressure to make her next record as good as her last.

She said: "It's going well. I put myself under so much pressure, though. I've been working on it solidly for so long, day in, day out. I've been more disciplined with myself than I've ever been.

"I just dedicated myself to one thing and everything else got sacrificed."

Meanwhile, the Florence + The Machine singer also told Capital FM she had forgotten how much of herself she has to give to a record and how the beginning process of it is hard.

She explained: "So when actually you've come through that process a bit and you can kind of see a clearer picture, you're like, 'Oh now I get it'. It's coming through to that other side now and it feels good."
