Gary Barlow will be bringing in 2014 with a performance in London.

The 42-year-old singer will play one set prior to the clock striking midnight, before he admires the capital's iconic firework celebration with the rest of the nation.

The 'X Factor' UK judge will watch the stunning explosions light up the sky from the rooftop of the building which overlooks Big Ben clock tower in Westminster, before taking to the stage once again to celebrate the beginning of 2014.

The star also announced today (20.11.13) that his second single 'Face To Face' - a duet with Sir Elton John - from his new album 'Since I Saw You Last', will be released on January 20.

This comes just weeks after the success of his first single 'Let Me Go', which currently sits at number six on the National Radio Airplay Chart.

Gary previously tried launch a solo career when his band Take That split up in 1996 after six years together, but he turned to comfort food after his failed attempts.

However, he insists he won't fall back into his bad eating habits again after he topped the scales at 224 lbs at his heaviest, and now constantly tells himself he's "fat" to avoid piling on the pounds.

Gary said previously: "I still think of myself as a fat guy, I've had it under control for a few years but it's hard. I can't relax I can't ever think I'm slim."
