Stone Robbery Suspects Undergoing Mental Evaluations

Two men accused of conspiring to attack and rob British singer JOSS Stoneare undergoing mental evaluation to determine whether they are fit to stand trial.

Kevin Liverpool and Junior Bradshaw were arrested near the star's countryside home in Devon, south west England, in June (11), accused of targeting her for a robbery.

In October (11), Liverpool pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (Gbh) and conspiracyto commit robbery.

Bradshaw, who is charged with conspiring to harm and rob the You Had Mesinger, has yet to enter a plea.

However, during a court hearing on Friday (20Jan12), Exeter Crown CourtJudge Graham Cottle learned that Bradshaw suffers from schizophrenia andis being held at a secure mental hospital as he undergoes tests.

Liverpool's mental state has also been called into question and prosecutor Simon Morgan admits the suspects may not be psychologically able to stand trial.

Morgan says, "It is clear that the defenses are not ready for trial andin those circumstances there is no objection to the extension of the custody time limit".

Judge Cottle adjourned the case until 16 April (12).

A trial date had previously been set for 6 August (12).
