The 26-year-old rapper has taken to social media to reveal the track, entitled 'Mo Bounce', will hit shelves and streaming websites at the end of the week.

Taking to Twitter, the 'Fancy' hitmaker posted a photo of the artwork for the single, alongside the caption: "You guys did good putting the pieces together! My new single #MoBounce comes out next Friday! 3/24. Get ready. (sic)"

Iggy also took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing pieces of the artwork across nine separate posts which when viewed on her account make up a large version of the photo.

Each image was captioned: "#MoBounce March 24 (sic)"

The announcement comes after the 'Black Widow' musician recently took to Twitter to apologise for the delay in releasing her album 'Digital Distortion' - which was set for release last year - but said she felt it was important to push it back to 2017 so she could include songs which reflected the "personal changes" she has been through, namely her split from Nick Young.

She said: "Hi guys ... I have decided to include one of the songs from my upcoming album 'Digital Distortion' on the new Def Jam #DirectDeposit tape ...

"Also I felt it was important to say; I know its been a long wait for my album - SORRY! ... I hope my fans understand my life has been filled with so many personal changes ... I felt it was important I made some creative changes too - I needed my album to reflect where my head's at in 2017 ...

"I really appreciate the patience & I'm so excited for all the new music, new visuals, album preorder dates etc. ... I'll be releasing throughout the month of March. Thanks for your support <3 IGGY (sic)"

'Mo Bounce' will be released on March 24.
