Impressing with his new studio album 'Purpose', Justin Bieber has managed to break the record for having the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at any one time, with 17 songs on the December 5 Hot 100 chart.

This means that Bieber has now surpassed a record shared by The Beatles and Drake, who both achieved 14 tracks in the Hot 100. The Beatles set the record in 1964, and Drake matched it in early 2015.

Bieber also managed to pull off a feat he didn't in the UK, beating One Direction to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart, earning his sixth number one LP.

Though he came in at number two in the UK albums chart, he sits strong at number one in the UK singles chart with 'Sorry', after knocking Adele and her comeback single 'Hello' from the top spot.

The young singer also recently broke the worldwide Spotify streaming record with 'Purpose', with the album streamed 205 million times across the world in its first week of release.
