The 'Video Games' hitmaker, 30, would have jumped at the chance to perform the 007 soundtrack if she had been asked, but she has admitted she was never approached.

She explained: "I would've done it if I was asked but I wasn't asked. I love all of the Bond music that's been put out over the years and I love soundtracks in general."

And, although the opportunity was swiped away from Lana by Sam Smith and his 'Writing's on the Wall', the brunette beauty believes her latest album 'Honeymoon', which was dropped three months ago, would have been very fitting.

She told NME magazine: "There are a couple of songs on this record that have a Bond feel, like '24' and 'Swan Song.' "

Meanwhile, she may not have been able to fulfil her Bond dreams but Lana has still had a good year as she spent the warmer months on the road with Courtney Love for her concert series, 'The Endless Summer Tour.'

She said: "Touring with Courtney was great, we have some things in common that might not be visible from the outside.

"I think the most important thing I learned was that some people just have it when it comes to performing. She's totally entrancing, a born performer."
