The 45-year-old rocker will join the likes of Stormzy, Sampha, Rag'n'Bone Man, Foo Fighters, and Dua Lipa in the one-hour musical extravaganza, set to be broadcast on BBC Two on December 8.

The programme will look back over the last 12 months of music, with hosts Claudia Winkleman and Clara Amfo talking to the guest stars about their "greatest performances and biggest stories".

A press release read: "[Musicians will] talk about the musical year, giving their views on the highs and lows in the world of music over the last 12 months, including the greatest performances and the biggest stories."

Also included in the programme is this year's BBC Music Awards, which this year will see the likes of Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles battle it out for Artist of the Year, and Foo Fighters take on Katy Perry for Live Performance of the Year.

Claudia Winkleman said: "[I] can't wait to take a look back and celebrate a great year in music with the very brilliant Clara."

Whilst Clara Amfo added: "2017 has been a huge year in music for both fresh and established artists, I'm really looking forward to hanging out with Claudia to look back at what it has given us, before we enter into what I'm sure will be an even bigger musical new year."
