Kicking things off with a greatest hits collection in conjuction with Mariah's forthcoming Las Vegas residency, the first record from the deal will also feature updated versions of classic tracks as well as potential duets of some hits.

Carey's latest release through Sony was back in 1999 with her album 'Rainbow', which went on to spawn two major hit singles in 'Heartbreaker' and 'Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)'.

Mariah's most recent LP was released last year through Def Jam Recordings, titled 'Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse', but didn't quite see the success Mariah has seen in the past. Despite that it went to number 3 in America and number 14 in the UK, but failed to grab a top ten single in either territory.
