The 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker teamed up with the 'Born This Way' singer in his London studio before Christmas and he was impressed by how much of a proper "muso" she is and he's hoping to work with her more in the near future.

He said: "We worked together in London. I think she's incredibly talented and kind of a muso at heart beyond all the giant pop hits. I would love to work some more with her - she's an incredible singer/songwriter."

Gaga's next LP will be her first solo effort since 2013's 'Artpop', her last release was 2014's 'Cheek to Cheek' a collaborative effort with Tony Bennett.

Meanwhile, Mark has admitted he doesn't think he stands a chance of winning the British Male Solo Artist prize at this year's BRIT Awards with MasterCard 2016 and is tipping James Bay to take home the statue.

Of his nomination, Mark - who already has two BRITs - told The Evening Standard newspaper: "It's amazing to be nominated, especially since we won Best Single last year [for 'Uptown Funk']. Even if I don't win anything at least it's one more year of sitting at a free table! But I have no chance as it's surely James Bay's year. He has been the stand out artist for me."
