I'd absolutely love to do The Voice. I really enjoyed being a judge on Superstar and television is exciting and a new thing for me

Former Spice Girls star Melanie Chisholm has made a public appeal to the producers of Britain's The Voice to hire her as a mentor.

TV bosses are currently looking to fill two slots on the U.K. show's panel following the departure of Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue, and Chisholm is convinced she would be the perfect replacement.

Jessie J has quit the Voice

The singer has previously worked as a mentor on Andrew Lloyd Webber's TV talent show Superstar, a search to find a lead actor for a theater production of Jesus Christ Superstar, and she hopes her experience will make her a good candidate for The Voice.

She tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "I'd absolutely love to do The Voice. I really enjoyed being a judge on Superstar and television is exciting and a new thing for me".

Danny O'Donoghue has quit the Voice

Three of Chisholm's former Spice Girls bandmates are currently working as reality TV show judges - Melanie Brown has a slot on the America's Got Talent panel, Geri Halliwell is on Australia's Got Talent and Emma Bunton is a judge on new U.K. talent contest Your Face Sounds Familiar.
