The official agreement sees Michael's Optimum Productions and the Screen Actors Guild commit to working together for the 13-minute video, and was signed by the music icon in Los Angeles on October 10, 1983. It'll be auctioned online later this week on February 26.

Being sold by Nate D. Sanders Auctions based in Los Angeles, the document comes with a certificate of authenticity from the US Copyright Office from December 1983.

Bidding for the contract begins at $25,000 (£16,183), with various other items including clothing from stars such as Katy Perry and Cher as well as a Christmas card signed by Sir Mick Jagger being auctioned off.

'Thriller's ground-breaking video was filmed in October 1983 in Los Angeles, directed by John Landis and featuring model Ola Ray.

The clip cost half a million dollars to make and won the Best Video Album Grammy Award the following year, as well as the Best Long Form Music Video accolade in 1985.
