Morrissey has been forced to cancel an Atlanta, Georgia gig scheduled for tonight - June 4 - because of health issues.

The 55-year-old singer was set to perform at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre as part of his ongoing tour of America but has pulled out after falling ill.

According to Atlanta Access, Morrissey is not only sick but members of his backing band and road crew are also too ill to perform and work at the gig.

It is the fourth time the former Smiths singer has pulled the plug on a show in Atlanta since December 2012.

Morrissey cancelled the first concert after his mother fell ill and later postponed the concert twice last year due to his own health issues, after he suffered double pneumonia, a bleeding ulcer and throat condition.

Meanwhile, his upcoming album 'World Peace Is None Of Your Business' will be released on July 14 and he has released a spoken word video for his latest single 'Earth Is The Loneliest Planet' featuring Pamela Anderson.

The companion film, directed by Natalie Johns, features lyric narration while Morrissey and Pamela admire the Hollywood sunset standing on the roof of the Capitol Tower in Los Angeles.

The star is also reportedly appealing for a new music publisher after his current deal of 30 years ended.

Morrissey's US tour is set to continue on Friday Jne 6 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
