Oasis won't reunite according to Noel Gallagher.

After a backstage confrontation with brother Liam, the rocker left the group back in August of 2009, and is insisting that no circumstances can lead to a reconciliation.

Probed by Rolling Stone magazine about the possibility of a reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Oasis' classic debut album, 'Definitely Maybe', Liam irritably replied: "We are split up. You've heard that, haven't you? You must've heard. Yeah, so, ergo, band splits up, band is no more. There is no band. So, no, I won't be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won't be in it."

Asked whether he was annoyed about being asked, Noel joked: "No, I only answer about six a day, so it's under control. I understand people will never stop asking until it happens. I know that that's how it goes."

Aside from his ongoing feud with Liam, the Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds frontman thinks the band had fulfilled their maximum musical potential and it was time to call it a day anyway.

He quipped: "I'm cool with it. I don't think there's any unfinished business. I don't think that we left anything unsaid, do you know what I mean?

"It's like, if you've seen [Oasis], then good for you. If you didn't, then that's f**king tough s**t. I've never seen the Beatles. So there you go."

Noel says he is "proud" of all their musical achievements, even though there are some songs he would rather forget.

The 'AKA... What a Life!' singer added: "I'm proud of everything that we ever did. I mean, some songs are pretty s**t, and there's a couple of periods you'd rather forget, but I think on the whole..."

This comes after reports Liam's new girlfriend Debbie Gwyther was trying to broker an Oasis reunion by getting the warring brother's older sibling Paul involved to persuade them to perform a series of 20th anniversary gigs in 2014.
