A brand new 42-track LP celebrating Sir Paul McCartney's music is to be released this November.

'The Art of McCartney' will pay homage to the extensive career of the singer by featuring new studio covers by world renowned artists of some of his best-loved hits.

Among those taking part are Kiss star Alice Cooper who contributes a rendition of Bond theme 'Live and Let Die', and Bob Dylan who recorded 'Things We Said Today'.

Def Leppard sing 'Helen Wheels' and The Cure collaborate with James McCartney - Paul's son - on a version of 1967 hit 'Hello Goodbye' - already available for download.

The Art of McCartney' will be released on November 17.
