The 28-year-old R&B superstar's latest single 'Work' has become her 14th track to top the Billboard Hot 100, overtaking the late King of Pop's 13 chart-topping records.

Taking to her twitter account in excitement, she said: "#WORK tops Billboard #Hot100!! Navy you killed it this week! #NavyRDie (sic)"

And Billboard confirmed: "The song becomes Rihanna's 14th leader, lifting her past Michael Jackson for the third-most No. 1s all-time.(sic)"

However, the Bajan beauty is still some way behind the record for the most US number ones, with The Beatles leading the way with 20 chart-topping tracks, just ahead of Mariah Carey, who has scored 18 number ones in her career.

Meanwhile, the sexy singer has touched down in London ahead of her eagerly-anticipated performance at the BRIT Awards - which are sponsored by MasterCard - tomorrow night (24.02.16).

It was speculated whether or not the 'Only Girl In The World' hitmaker will make it to the prestigious awards ceremony at London's The O2 after she cancelled a number of dates of her ANTI World Tour and her performance at the Grammys due to bronchitis, as well as pulling out of last year's Brits.

However, hosts Ant & Dec are certain she'll show up.

Ant told The Sun newspaper: "Rihanna's plane has touched down so we are fairly certain she will be performing. She didn't even get on it last year, so at least she is physically in the country."
