'Blurred Lines' could see a part two, as Robin Thicke has hinted a sequel could be in the works.

Pharrell Williams and T.I are in the R&B singer's sights, who is now planning to get the threesome together for a follow-up to the much-raved-about global hit.

Robin told Billboard.com: "I would love to do it again and I'm sure we will."

However, the 36-year-old singer claims he would approach a sequel with caution over fears it may not match its previous success.

He explained: "Its one of those catch twenty-two's where you want to repeat that success but you don't want to mess with those transformers."

'Blurred Lines' has been criticised by some who claim its lyrical content and video aren't respectful to women, while Robin's provocative rendition of the track alongside Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards last month caused backlash, but the star claims he can't please everyone.

Speaking of the reaction to the single, he said: "I have pretty much heard everything at this point some of it positive, most of it scathing.

"As a human being I want everybody to love me, but as an artist I can't possibly accomplish that so I have to do my best in most regards."

Robin added he is pleased with the single's success, saying: "It did so well in so many countries that I've never had much success in, and to be able to get that kind of worldwide exposure and give yourself a chance to go out and tour Asia and South America and some of these places I haven't frequented, that is an amazing blessing."
