Sam Smith has this week finally dropped the highly anticipated music video for his brilliant new single Pray, featuring Logic, with the singer also working alongside legendary producer Timbaland on the track. Check out the gorgeous visuals for the tune below:
Chatting about the inspiration behind the song, Smith says: “We are all looking around at what’s happening in the world and it is just messed. You’ve got no choice but to look up to the sky and put your hands together and pray for something to happen, because I feel helpless as a human right now.”
Smith performed the tune last year on an edition of Saturday Night Live, before he took to the stage at The Grammy Awards in Madison Square Gardens, enchanting the audience there and proving once more why he’s one of the leading artists on the globe.
Currently on an extensive tour that will see him travel throughout Europe, North America, South America, Australasia and Asia, Smith is somebody who has millions of fans across the globe. It’s hard to believe it’s been just three years since the release of his debut album, but with such timeless music and an appeal that extends far beyond anything he ever expected, we imagine he’ll be sticking around for some time yet.
