The 44-year-old producer feels the need to spend hours on end in the studio to provide for his seven-year-old biological daughter Reign and his ex-wife Monique Mosley's kids Demetrius and Frankie, who he has raised as his own.

Speaking to the Las Vega Sun the 'Bounce' hitmaker said: "I'll say this: I love my kids, but I'm not married anymore. So it's different, I have more time, but I still do this for them."

Despite his dedication to his three kids, Timbaland - who split from Monique for a second time last year after eight years of marriage - feels an urge to throw himself back into his work after previously making sacrifices for his marriage.

He said: "Although I feel like I'm just getting started. When you go through certain things, like when you get married and you get out of marriage, you sacrifice yourself. You sacrifice your career. So now you learn about discipline. When you commit, you learn a lot of different things about yourself. So, that being said, now I'm ready to get back to it.

"When you get adversity in your life it either strengthens you or weakens you. For me, it strengthens me."

The rapper is predominately known for his work with Justin Timberlake on smash hits like 'Cry Me A River', but he has also produced a number of other high profile artists including Jay Z, Nas, Ludacris, Bubba Sparxxx, Madonna, Rihanna, OneRepublic, Brandy and Drake.
