The 'Should've Been Us' hitmaker - who rose to fame slowly after she started to post videos on YouTube at the age of 14 - admits she was turned away time and time again but says it "shaped my career".

She said: "When you're that young, you're just going through the motions. I remember thinking I was running out of time to do stuff. Any sort of rejection that I got hit so hard. It was all meant to happen because it shaped my career and who I've become."

And the 23-year-old singer likes to document each show on her social media account and says it is a nice "diary" to look back on from time to time.

She added to Rolling Stone magazine: "Those videos I put on my Instagram are almost like a log or a diary of some sort. It is kinda cool to look back and see just how every show is so different and every crowd has grown."

Meanwhile, during her career, Tori has collaborated with some of the best artists around and recently revealed she "picked up" tips from Professor Green on how to deal with fame.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "With Professor Green, he has been doing it (music) for so long, so even just being around him I naturally picked up things like how he did his interviews, how he deals with his fans, and all the publicity and stuff and getting to kind of follow him and shadow him in a way. I felt like he taught me a lot without really saying it, just being able to watch him and watch how he flows."
