Adele's Etta Collaboration

Adele is to perform with her idol Etta James.

The ‘Chasing Pavements' star took to her MySpace blog to break the news she is set to play with the soul legend in Hollywood in June - but could incur the wrath of music bosses who were hoping to keep the collaboration under wraps.

She wrote: "I dont actually know if im allowed to tell you yet but i just read it somewhere else so....Ive been booked to play the hollywood bowl in june for a while now. but ETTA JAMES just got confirmed to co headline it with me!! etta james is my favourite singer ever! this is the most amazing thing ever for me! If you can come please do! i promise itll be an amazing night! (sic)"

News of the show was first rumoured last week, but music industry bosses refused to comment.

Adele is currently preparing to tour the US in March.
