Billy Bob Thornton has cancelled a Canadian tour with his band The Boxmasters.
The actor turned musician and his band pulled out of the last two dates of their tour citing illness.
The move comes in the wake of a disastrous interview on Canadian radio last week, during which Billy Bob referred to Canadians as like "mashed potato with no gravy," meaning he felt them too reserved.
Billy Bob became difficult on the show - broadcast last Wednesday (08.04.09) - after the host mentioned his Hollywood career when introducing him.
The band was booed the next night as they performed, supporting Country singer Willie Nelson.
Shortly after The Boxmasters took to the stage, members of the audience reportedly shouted: Here comes the gravy," at Billy Bob.
A post on the band's website stated the cancellations were: "Due to one band member and several of the crew having the flu."
The group is planning to resume its tour tomorrow (14.04.09) when they are back in their home country, the US.
