The Editors are to make a more 'electronic' album.
The 'Sparks' rockers say they are planning a change of direction for their third LP and are planning on introducing more instruments to their sound.
Writing on the band's official website, bassist Russell Leetch revealed: "We're all buzzing about the songs that we've put together. You may have heard that the record is more electronic and this is true.
We've been listening to Georgio Moroder, 'The Idio't by Iggy Pop, Brad Fiedel, Depeche Mode, 'Remain In Ligh't by Talking Heads and Burial to name a few
"We've been putting the songs together with different sounds from old and new synths and not just relying on guitars, combining both. We've been listening to Georgio Moroder, 'The Idio't by Iggy Pop, Brad Fiedel, Depeche Mode, 'Remain In Ligh't by Talking Heads and Burial to name a few.
"The record feels like that hour in the night when the foxes are abundant and the lights are low, driving past the frozen disused warehouses."
Russell also said the band have demoed 10 tracks and have another 10 ready to rehearse for the follow-up to 2007's 'An End Has A Start'.
