Elbow are recording their next album on a remote island.
The BRIT award-winning group - who scooped Best British Band and Best British Album for ‘The Seldom Seen Kid' at last week's ceremony - have retreated to a former church off the Scottish coast to begin work on their next LP.
Frontman Guy Garvey said: "We've just been recording some new material in Mull, which is the most beautiful place on Earth.
"It's a converted church by some snow-capped mountains on the edge of a lake."
Meanwhile, the band are set to open the Shockwaves NME awards on February 25 with their hit single ‘Grounds For Divorce'.
Commenting on the news, Guy joked: Play first and you don't have to wait to start drinking,"
Franz Ferdinand, Glasvegas, Friendly Fires and The Cure - who will receive the Godlike Genius accolade - are also set ot performa t the ceremony at London's O2 Academy.
