Jamelia Expected Flop

Jamelia isn't surprised that her last album didn't sell well.
Despite 'Walk With Me' selling over 100,000 copies, the 'Superstar' hitmaker insists she was unhappy with the record and didn't feel comfortable when it was released in 2006.
She said: "You know what, I think albums are reflective of your mindset at the time and I probably wasn't in the right frame of mind for 'Walk With Me'. Don't get me wrong, I love the songs individually, but I don't feel that it flows very well as an album. I think that made it harder for people to relate to it. The album sold over 100,000 copies, which for some artists would be amazing, but I wasn't happy with that at all. I want at least double-platinum every time!"
Despite her disappointment, Jamelia is continuing to focus on her music and is looking forward to the direction her next album- which she is preparing to fly out to Los Angeles to record - is taking.
She added to DigitalSpy: "It's still pop/R'n'B, but I'd say I've definitely gone back to my more R'n'B days. This time I've set the bar really high for myself. Because I haven't released anything in a while, I feel that everything has to be really exciting and it really has to make an impact."
